Weekend Fundraisers

Pearls for Pups Co. schedules weekend-long (Saturday & Sunday) online fundraisers for individual rescue and shelter organizations; we donate 100% of the net proceeds of online sales that weekend to the rescue! These book up quickly, so make sure to reach out as soon as possible to reserve your weekend.

How does a weekend fundraiser work?

During a weekend fundraiser, the proceeds of all sales that weekend benefit the scheduled rescue. No special link required; folks simply shop the website as normal.


Do 100% of the net proceeds benefit the rescue?

Yes! 100% net proceeds are donated to the designated rescue for that particular weekend. The net proceeds are sales minus costs; costs include supplies and credit card processing fees. Supplies are 20% of the sales price and credit card processing fees are 2.2% plus $0.30 per transaction. In total, just under 80% of the grand total raised (excluding shipping) is donated.

Can only non-profit organizations request fundraisers?

Yes! This ensures that the funds will be used only in specific ways, and can not be used for profit by any individual.


How many fundraisers can I request in one year?

Historically we have allowed 2 fundraiser per year per organization. However, we are seeing that even with two per year some rescue’s supporters are experiencing “burnout” on our products. We are going to limit fundraisers to 1 per rescue per year, which will also allow us to work with many different organizations since weekends are so limited.

How is the fundraiser promoted?

Pearls for Pups Co. will post on social media the weekend of the fundraiser start, on Saturday morning. For maximum results, we highly recommend that the rescue also promote the fundraiser on their social media; this is a key driving factor in sales! The rescue can promote the event in advance, as well as the weekend of the fundraiser. We provide graphics and a Weekend Fundraising Guide.


How and when do funds get to the rescue?

We prefer to send funds via PayPal or to donate through the rescue’s website. We aim to have funds donated by the Thursday following the fundraiser end date. This allows for credit card transactions to be deposited in our account. If the rescue requires a physical check be mailed, one can be requested.
